One real estate agent, keen to prove how fantastic his local community is to live in, has brought together 60 cowboys and over 40 local businesses to hold a fundraising bull riding competition on Australia Day.
The event in Redland Bay, north of Brisbane, will see cowboys from as far afield as Canada compete in front of a crowd of 4,000 this weekend.
The organiser, Jesse James of Ray White Redland Bay, is a former bull rider and is keen for people outside of Redland Bay to experience his community.

Veteran Toowoomba real estate agent Denis Duffy is about to take the reins as Toowoomba zone chairman for the Real Estate Institute of Queensland.
The industry stalwart has more than 20 years of real estate experience, having sold more than $200 million worth of residential property in Toowoomba.
Mr Duffy is the former owner, principal licensee and auctioneer for Ray White Toowoomba, where he maintains a role as an independent contractor.
He became involved with real estate in 1990 and never looked back.

The Ray White Group has announced it will offer a $30,000 scholarship and a work placement in one of its most successful Sydney franchises as part of its Young Professionals In Real Estate (YPIRE) program.
Deputy Chairman for the Ray White Group, Sam White, said the program was started because “success in the industry is no longer bound by age”.
