Rents in Bathurst continue to skyrocket as demand right across the Central West hits record levels. Australian Property Monitors figures show rents in Bathurst have increased by more than 10 per cent in the past 12 months. The median weekly asking rent has risen 10.7 per cent from $280 to $310 and the median weekly rent on units has risen by 7.7 per cent from $195 to $210. And renters in Orange have been even harder hit, most likely as a result of demand for rentals through Cadia’s mining operations. Strong interest from investors in regional NSW pubs is indicative of a revival of the sector, says Andrew Jolliffe, managing director of Ray White Hotels Australia. Jolliffe, who sold Tamworth's Locomotive Hotel last week, told The Shout there has also been strong interest in the Tattersalls Hotel at Narrabri and the All Seasons Pavilion Hotel in Wagga Wagga, which are both expected to sell early in the new year. House Prices Reach a Ceiling Australia

Australia’s house price boom came to a halt in June, weighed down by rising interest rates, deteriorating affordability and global financial turmoil. National houses prices dropped 0.7 per cent in the month, the first decline in almost 11/2 years, according to the RP Data –Rismark Hedonic Home Value Index released on Friday. Luxury housing was worst affected. The top 20 percent of house prices fell 1.9 per cent from March. Ray White $2.4 billion Real Estate Sales

Ray White has achieved a 10 percent rise in sales for the month of May, thanks to a surge in top-end residential activity. The real estate leader hit $2.4 billion in sales last month, continuing a similarly positive result in March this year.
