Sales growth of more than 50 per cent over the past year has helped Ray White Glen Waverley take top honours in Victoria for Australasia’s largest real estate and property group.

Ray White Glen Waverley was honoured at the annual Ray White Victoria and Tasmania Awards at the Palladium Ballroom in Melbourne on Saturday night (March 13).

Director Damian Moore said it was the first time Ray White Glen Waverley had achieved top office status after being among the top three for the group in Victoria and Tasmania over the previous four years.

“The award is a tremendous achievement for our sales team and gives us all a great sense of satisfaction,” Mr Moore said.

“This accomplishment to be the number one office in Victoria is the result of a great deal of hard work.”

Mr Moore said Ray White Glen Waverley achieved sales of more than $180 million in 2009, compared to $117 million the previous year.

“We achieved this result with 12 sales people, so it’s a great credit to them,” he said.

“The market in Melbourne’s east has been strong for more than a year and there are no signs of the market slowing down. Glen Waverley is a multi-cultural area and it is very popular.”

Mr Moore said Victoria had been one of Ray White’s top performing markets last year, and the state had also started 2010 with strong results.

“Despite interest rates starting to return to more traditional levels, there’s plenty of confidence in the market and we expect to have another great year in 2010,” he said.

Ray White Victorian General Manager Marcus Williams paid tribute to the sales performance of Ray White Glen Waverley.

“The outstanding result is a credit to Damian and his team and shows how Ray White is making great inroads into the Victorian residential market,” he said.
