Historic Sunshine Coast Hinterland retreat the Montville Country Cabins has been sold by Ray White Commercial Queensland in conjunction with Ray White Commercial Maroochydore.

Paul Hoskings of Ray White Commercial Queensland said the 6.36 hectare property had been sold for an undisclosed sum to a Brisbane buyer.

Mr Hoskings said the sale followed a highly successful tender process which resulted in more than 30 enquiries from both Queensland and interstate interests.

“The new owners have big plans for the future of this unique property, which is one of the major accommodation businesses in the historic town of Montville,” he said.

“The cabins are set in a magnificent location amongst award winning gardens and there are plans for some major renovations to the cottages on-site.”

Mr Hoskings said the marketing campaign for the property also involved Ray White Commercial sales agent Marcus Knapp and David C Smith, Principal of Ray White Commercial Maroochydore.

“We have had Ray White Commercial’s head office in Brisbane and the Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, office working together in a campaign that worked at both a national and a local level to achieve a great result for the vendor,” Mr Hoskings said.

Montville Country Cabins, which is located 75km north of Brisbane and 35km from Noosa, has been sold as a going concern.

The property at 396 Western Avenue, Montville, includes 10 secluded self-contained cottages as well as a main residence and is situated near a spring fed lake.

“It’s a relaxing, romantic retreat set in one of the most scenic parts of the Hinterland just a short drive from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast beaches,’ Mr Hoskings said.

“There was naturally a huge amount of interest in acquiring this treechange opportunity.”
