Queensland Ray White Achievers
March 1, 2010
Almost 1000 Ray White professionals from across Queensland gathered in Brisbane last week to celebrate the achievements of 2009.
The gala event at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre followed another challenging year in the real estate industry, according to the group’s Queensland joint chief executive Tony Warland.
“The hallmark of our 2009 top performers was their resolve in sharing genuine information with their clients to give people the confidence to make informed decisions and to sell their properties in what was a serious time for business,” Mr Warland said.
While property professionals from across the state were awarded, it was the Gold Coast agencies that stood out across the 31 categories.
Half of the top 10 Residential Sales Performers – Settled Commission were from the Glitter Strip, including winner Michael Kollosche of Ray White Broadbeach.
“Michael Kollosche is recognised as the number one salesperson in Ray White internationally and is arguably number one in the industry,” Mr Warland said.
Four of the top 10 offices recognised for their high achievements in residential settled commission were also Gold Coast-based, including Ray White Surfers Paradise which took out first place in Queensland and internationally. The agency, headed by Andrew and Greg Bell, has held the number one position in the group’s network of 1000 offices for 15 consecutive years.
While the Gold Coast dominated, the night’s most prestigious acknowledgement, the Max White award, went to Brisbane realtor David Price, whose Bulimba agency also placed fourth in the list of top residential offices.
2008′s Max White award winner, Judy Goodger also performed well this year, achieving number two in Queensland and internationally in the category of top residential sales performers based on commission. The number one agent based on number of sales went to Toowoomba’s Carita Owens, The group’s younger performers were also recognised, with Broadbeach’s Jesse Willcox taking out Young Agent of the Year and Surfers Paradise agent Katrina Keegan named Rookie of the Year.
On the auction front, the award for Significant Auction Performers was shared by Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise and a group of inner-city Brisbane agencies which form the Urban Living Group.
These offices have been at the forefront of mass auctions in Queensland, with one recent event held on the Gold Coast seeing 100 homes go under the hammer in one day.
